Anubis: The Mentor of Mediums
The Egyptian God who will introduce you to the secrets of the dead.
There are many who work with Anubis because he is an exceptional initiatory spirit - he will initiate you into the skill sets hidden within your ancestry and show you how to use them.
When you first meet him, he is awe-inspiring; tall, looks like a doberman with a mans body and a deep booming voice. He feels like an oak tree - broad and sturdy - which is perfect when a lot of his work is not just caring for the dead, but also training those who are to work with the dead.
He is a master of his art.
He will often step in and train those who are yet to be accepted or connected with their own lineage - he does the heavy lifting, and once you are competent a door opens and you move forward into the more specialised role of your ancestors.
He is the boot camp - only he shouts a lot less and doesn’t care if you make your bed.
How He Arrives
Anubis tends to show up in your life once you have accepted that you can indeed see/feel/hear the dead. Your acceptance of such a gift/curse/quirk is the key to giving your permission for him to step forward.
This doesn’t mean that you are not scared of the dead - this is perfectly normal. It doesn’t mean that when your heart stops and the hairs on the back of your neck stand to attention that you are rejecting your mediumship. These are the baser instincts that evolution has pre-programmed in to keep you alive.
It’s perfectly normal.
Anubis may show up unannounced during a meditation, dream or even just in the middle of your lounge. He isn’t necessarily the most subtle - but then death isn’t supposed to be.
If you have the opportunity to be under Anubis’ tutelage you are very lucky indeed. He will ensure you gain skills, confidence and understand your role in your own protection.
He is one in a million.
If you wish to develop your membership in a 1-2-1 setting, and depending on your lineage, it could be Anubis who takes the helm, or someone who have worked closely with your ancestors who steps forward.
You will always be supported, protected and thoroughly educated on how to work with the dead in a safe manner where you call the shots.
Beginner Mediumship Courses within The Order of Bona Dea tend to be under the watchful eye of Anubis, with him taking people to having never meditated to giving accurate messages, and then crossing the dead over. He is that quiet presence that let’s you know everything is going to be ok.
